My Moto X 2013 is getting old. Too slow, not enough RAM.
But it's such an amazing phone, I cannot find anything to replace it!
There a few things I cannot give up:
- Size: all the new phones are too big. I want to be able to use it with my thumb in one hand. I need something no wider than 2.75" (70mm)
- Active Display: I cannot go back to pushing a button to turn on my phone and see alerts.
- Twist for Camera: Simply awesome. A dedicated button would be fine.
All I really need is:
- More RAM
- Faster CPU
- SD slot
- As pure as possible Android experience (or possibility to root and flash CM)
I'd also really prefer an AMOLED display. Once you get use to those blacks, there's no going back. (And the ambient display.)
Contenders:
- Nubia Z9
- Galaxy A5
- Galaxy Alpha
- Xiaomi Mi4C
- Asus Zenfone 2
- Huawei P8 Lite
- Moto G 3rd gen (too big really)
- BQ Aquaris M5
- Sony z4c
- Sony z5c - seems great but too expensive.
Note: I live in Spain, so US Carrier compatibility is a non issue.
