After a days of modding with Xposed Framework my ZTE ZMax it has came out to look nearly Brand new (As in UI) but because of the rooting process and the restrictions of the phone /system is a read-only and can only be edited in Recovery. Bloatware from Metro PCS still remains on the phone, I found a post on XDA that has a flashable zip to remove system apps (link below) and after editing the file to remove the apps that I want. Although I have only flashed things onto the the system (SuperSU and a boot animation). I have never removed anything from the /system on this phone and what I would like to know is what are the risks of using a flashable zip file to remove system apps instead of a application from Google Play (I've tried this several times and I have tried mounting /system as Read-Write and nothing works).
Apps I plain to remove: MetroZone, Metro411, MetroAppStore, MetroBlockIt, MetroZone, VirtualVoiceMail and MyMetro
After looking through a few Uninstaller apps from Google Play none of them say any of the apps listed above are essential to the phone. (There not even listed as a Should Keep applications).
If no information can be found about my device then I would request to know if it's safe to use Recovery to remove apps. Thank you.
