Firstly make sure you have the correct USB drivers:
Uninstall Samsung Kies before you install the USB drivers.
Samsung USB Drivers V1.5.55.0
Odin V3.10.7
Instructions:
Power off the device (Remove the battery and then insert it after waiting 10 seconds)
Hold volume down, Home Button and power on the device.
Press Volume up key to continue.
Plug the phone into your computer via USB.
Run Odin with administrative permissions.
Once the phone is detected by Odin, select the appropriate files in the appropriate fields. (I have put the appropriate section at the beginning of the files).
