Hello everybody. I am very new here and never worked with tablet ROMs.
I purchased a cheap Chinese tablet (sorry, unable to post link but I got it from everbuying net) back in March just to have a Pandora streamer. Unit is called S93, has AllWinner A33 and running Android 4.4.
It ran fine until about 4 months ago when it started with random pop-ups. I ran several adware, virus, spyware tools, it takes care of the problem unless unit is booted. Obviously loader is contaminated. I read lately that it is common for cheap tablets to have a lots of trash installed - did not know it when I ordered it. While tossing it would not be a big loss, it works for what I need it, for other things I have Samsung Note 2014.
Is there a way to either clean t up or flash with clean ROM? Again, I am totally new with all this, so do not beat me if I am asking stupid questions.
I have read "Venstar V140D A33 tablet: How to get rid of the preinstalled malware of Stock ROM" by BlueFlame on this forum, but I do not know if it applies to my model.
I would appreciate any help anybody may offer.
