I just build this AOSP falowing the directions here https://code.google.com/p/aosp-bluez/ and I have to wait another week to get my nexus 7 back from a friend. Can you help me to see if the Hands-free Profile works? I need it for use in my car as a replacement for the main multimedia system and I needed the HFP to get the nexus handle the sound for the calls. Just flash it and test it.
