Hi everyone,
I received today my shiny Redmi Note 3 (Chinese rom - Stable - English pack with Play Store).
After a few actions (listed below), the device boots but it gets stuck with a message in the bottom of the screen: "Unfortunately mi cloud stopped working" (not a new bug apparently: https://www.google.com/?q=unfortunat...0has%20stopped ) which keeps appearing and I have no chance to access other screen of the phone, besides notification tray.
Apparently the solution would be to wipe mi cloud's data either from settings (not accessible: I can pull down the notification bar but settings icon is disabled) or from recover (not accessible either: I can't reboot to recovery from settings not having access to it and starting from device off and pressing volume up + power I'm presented with a strange screen**),
Besides this I can't even flash TWRP or doing anything with adb since I didn't enable usb debugging prior this issue. I tried to flash twrp from fastboot (which works: power + volume down, unlikely recovery) but it doesn't let me know (most likely because usb debugging wasn't enabled). Also "fastboot oem unlock" and "fastboot flashing unlock" don't work. Other commands like "fastboot reboot" work normally.
** unfortunately it's difficult to provide a screenshot. However it's a fullscreen image of the (white on black background) wireframe of a generic Xiaomi phone with an arrow like to say "plug the phone to electrical power" (and I tried... besides the fact battery was 100%!)
Here are the few things I did before this happened:
- updated the phone several times (I think the latest version was 7.0.10 or 7.0.13)
- encrypted phone memory
- set pin + fingerprint
- link my Google account
- add sim card
- reboot
- ... error! (I tried rebooting also without sim cards)
What can I do to to fix this situation and/or to make recovery working (possibly stock one)?
