Hey guys.
The Xperia E1 is my 1st ever Android phone.
Not interested in carrying a spyware gadget, but a year ago, I thought:
Now I really want to try out android, finally. And for sure, I will find
ways to clean the phone - to get an "Android without Google".
Unfortunately, without checking before, I chose the Xperia E1. Which for some
reasons turned out to be one of the most difficult-to-free devices ever? Damn.
You can see in my history (here, there, there, other places) ... how much time I put in last winter,
to collect information (just checked - I have about 60 related bookmarks)- and to finally give up.
In between I even tried to sell it.
Now I am still using my rotten 30 $ Nokia C1-01 - a great phone, with dual sim, and even flashlight :)
But the E1 ... I had to degrade it to a mp3 music player, and sometimes-gaming-device.
I have never put a SIM inside. And I will not - until one of you magicians has freeed it.
I am writing all this, because I want to encourage you experts to keep on trying.
There are us people out here, who are wishing, wanting, and hoping. That you succeed.
What a stupid world: A year ago, I have bought a Sony phone. And I am still not owning it.
And Joe Average ... just doesn't care. And democracy is failing - The vast majority of people
probably does not even have the mental, cognitive capacities to even understand privacy,
and its implications. What is not related to buying shoes, of watching football, won't matter.
Privacy is a too complicated topic, for most of them. Citizen rights need citizens, not consumers.

Anyways, please you keep on working on this

Some thoughts ...
* What are your needs?
* What exactly are the remaining problems?
* Perhaps the same problem has been solved, for another phone?
* Who has solved that^, perhaps you can involve that guy? The community could send him an E1, so that he can start solving the issue?
If this was some Hollywood movie, then some whistleblower type of guy would smuggle the necessary source code out of the Sony complex, and publish it on the darkweb ... ;)
As said, I am new to the Android world. Please forgive me my lack of knowledge, and naivety.
Just wanted to send a big thank you, and my deepest respect for the work you are putting into this.
