/* INFO */
Hey guys, If you wanna install the latest thing on your phone and hate the bugs that will come with it then you can dualboot your phone with the latest rom and the most stable rom:D
/* DISCLAIMER */
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SDs, Nuclear bombs and tsunamis:p
If you point your finger at me I will laugh at you.
/* WHAT YOU NEED */
1. A Custom Recovery (TWRP or PhilZ Touch)
2. CM 12.1 rom : Any rom you like.
3. The Dualboot Patcher : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2447534 (Download the APK) all credits goes to @chenxiaolong
4. CM13 Nightlies : http://get.cm/?device=i9300
/* INSTALLATION STEPS */
Note#1: I highly recommend you to install CM 13 as the first rom of your phone.
Note#2: I recommend you to install your rom in cache partition(multi-slot 1) if you don't like to flash gapps it will only take about half of it and you won't lose any storage space at all.
1. Make a nandroid backup in case anything fails. (optional if you like playing with fire like me)
2. Install the Dualboot patcher.
3. In the patcher, go to the ROMs section, and a popup will ask you to set the kernel. Do it.
4. In the patcher, go to the Patch ZIP file section, open your preferred rom's zip file and patch it (and GAPPS*optional*) to install in data(or any directory you would like to) .
5. Restart in recovery, flash the patched zip files (ROM and GAPPS). Restart your phone.
6. It will now boot onto the rom you installed. once you've completed your first boot setup, install the dualboot patcher.
You are now able to select which rom to boot from the ROMs section. Once you've selected which rom is the default, restart your phone. VoilĂ !
/* KNOWN ISSUES */
- Don't Patch your ROM to install in the system slot. (Your first rom will likely consume most of your system partition's space)
/* SPECIAL THANKS */
@forkbomb444 for his hard work on CM13.
@chenxiaolong for the dualboot patcher
