Android Device Protection on Rooted Moto X Pure

I'm in a quandary. I bought a used Moto X XT1595 32GB from Amazon Warehouse and received it yesterday. Looks like the previous owner never removed his/her Google account from the phone so when I try to run it for the first time I'm hitting the "Verify Your Account" screen :( The rom currently on it is Lollipop. When I went to recovery I found out that not only is it rooted but it has TWRP 2.8.7.0 on it. I proceeded to download a MM rom and flash it it, everything went well, the phone booted but still returned me to the Verify screen.

I called Amazon and explained the problem and they offered to accept it as a return. This is great but they no longer have any used ones to replace it with (32GB Black for 9). The phone purchase was a bargain and I'd love to keep it if I can bypass the ADP, otherwise I will return it.

Is there any rom or anything else I can do to get around this? The phone otherwise is in great shape. Thanks :)
